Last Flight to Abuja is a much anticipated Nigerian thriller disaster film which was originally inspired by a series of airplane disasters that happened in Nigeria in 2006.
Last Flight to Abuja was released in June 2012 a week after the Dana Air crash to pay tribute to the many lives that was lost in the crash, and also to create an awareness for increased aviation safety in Nigeria, Ghana & Africa as a whole.
The movie has been nominated for 5 awards, and was written by Tunde Babalola, produced and directed by multi award winning UK based Nigerian filmaker Obi Emelonye, and also starring Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Hakeem Kae-Kazim and Jim Iyke.   Last Flight to Abuja is said to be the first Nigerian disaster thriller movie to be set on airplane that suffers major mid-air problems leading to a fatal plane crash.
